إلتقى الفريق / أحمد خليفة رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة الفريق أول / جورج ألكساندر جافو قائد قوات الدفاع المالاوى والوفد المرافق له الذى يزور مصر حالياً ، حيث أجريت له مراسم إستقبال رسمية بمقر الأمانة العامة لوزارة الدفاع وعزفت الموسيقات العسكرية السلام الوطنى لكلا البلدين .
تناول اللقاء مناقشة عدد من الموضوعات ذات الإهتمام المشترك ، وسبل تعزيز أوجه التعاون العسكرى فى العديد من المجالات .
كما ترأس رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة وقائد قوات الدفاع المالاوى الجلسة الختامية للإجتماع الثالث للجنة التعاون العسكرى المصرية / المالاوية وقاما بالتوقيع على محضر الجلسة الذى تضمن تنفيذ العديد من الأنشطة والتدريبات لدعم آفاق التعاون العسكرى بين البلدين .
وأعرب رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة عن إعتزازه بالعلاقات الراسخة مع دولة مالاوى وحرص القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة على زيادة أواصر التعاون فى مختلف المجالات العسكرية .
من جانبه أشاد قائد قوات الدفاع المالاوى بدور مصر المؤثر والفاعل فى محيطها الإقليمى والدولى ومساهمتها فى دعم ركائز الأمن والإستقرار بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط والقارة الأفريقية .
حضر اللقاء والجلسة الختامية عدد من قادة القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين .

Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Meets Commander of the Malawi Defence Force
Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, met with General George Alexander Javo, Commander of the Malawi Defence Force, and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Egypt. An official reception ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, during which the national anthems of both countries were played.
The meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to enhance military cooperation between the two sides in various fields.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa and the Commander of the Malawi Defence Force also co-chaired the closing session of the third meeting of the Egyptian–Malawian Military Cooperation Committee, during which they signed the minutes of the session. The document included the implementation of several activities and training programs aimed at supporting and expanding prospects for military cooperation between the two countries.
The Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces expressed his pride in the deeply rooted relations with the Republic of Malawi and affirmed the General Command of the Armed Forces’ keenness to further strengthen cooperation across various military domains.
For his part, the Commander of the Malawi Defence Force praised Egypt’s influential and active role at the regional and international levels, as well as its contributions to supporting the pillars of security and stability in the Middle East and the African continent.
The meeting and the closing session were attended by a number of senior commanders from the armed forces of both countries
