فى إطار حرص القوات المسلحة على تبادل الخبرات العلمية والبحثية مع مختلف وزارات ومؤسسات الدولة ، إستقبل مركز البحوث الطبية والطب التجديدى للقوات المسلحة الدكتور / محمد أيمن عاشور وزير التعليم العالى والبحث العلمى للمشاركة فى أعمال اللجنة العلمية للجينوم المرجعى المصرى ، وذلك بحضور الدكتور / محمد عوض تاج الدين مستشار السيد رئيس الجمهورية للشئون الصحية وعدد من ممثلى أكاديمية البحث العلمى .
وألقى اللواء طبيب / محمد عبد السلام الجوهرى مدير مركز البحوث الطبية والطب التجديدى كلمة أشار خلالها إلى حرص القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة على دعم جهود الدولة فى مواكبة التطور المتلاحق بمنظومة البحث العلمى ، كما أشاد بالتعاون المستمر مع أكاديمية البحث العلمى والذى يمثل نموذجاً متميزاً فى التكامل لتطوير الآداء وإصدار مخرجات علمية تحقق الإستفادة للوطن فى مختلف المجالات .
أعقب ذلك تنفيذ جولة تفقدية بالمركز شملت المرور على مركز التجارب ما قبل الإكلينيكية ومعمل الجينوم المرجعى ووحدة الميكروسكوب الإلكترونى والتى عكست المستوى العلمى الراقى الذى يتم العمل به وفقاً لأحدث المعايير العلمية بواسطة نخبة من الكوادر البشرية وبإستخدام أحدث الأجهزة والمعدات المعتمدة دولياً .
فيما أشاد وزير التعليم العالى والبحث العلمى بالتجهيز المتقدم لأقسام مركز البحوث الطبية والطب التجديدى وإستيعابه لأحدث التقنيات العالمية وإهتمامه بالإرتقاء للمستوى العلمى للكوادر البشرية ، كما أثنى على الدعم الذى تقدمه القوات المسلحة لمشروع الجينوم الوطنى المرجعى من خلال مشروع الجينوم السكانى وجينوم الأمراض الوراثية النادرة وجينوم قدماء المصريين مما سيسهم بشكل كبير فى وصول مصر لمرحلة الطب الشخصى الجديد للتشخيص والعلاج وعمل خريطة جينية للشعب المصرى يستفاد منها فى عمل إستراتيجيات للتشخيص والعلاج حسب المشاكل الصحية المستخلصة من المعلومات الجينية .

Armed Forces Center for Medical Research and Regenerative Medicine Receives Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research …
In line with the Armed Forces’ keenness to strengthen scientific and research cooperation with various ministries and state institutions, the Armed Forces Center for Medical Research and Regenerative Medicine received Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to participate in the proceedings of the Scientific Committee on the Egyptian Reference Genome Project. The event was attended by Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, along with representatives from the Academy of Scientific Research.
Major General (Doctor) Mohamed Abdel Salam El-Gohary, Director of the Center for Medical Research and Regenerative Medicine, delivered a speech in which he underlined the General Command of the Armed Forces’ commitment to supporting the State’s efforts to keep pace with the rapid progress in the field of scientific research. He further praised the continuous cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research, describing it as a distinguished model of integration that contributes to enhancing performance and producing scientific outcomes of benefit to the nation in multiple fields.
The visit included an inspection tour of the Pre-Clinical Trials Center, the Reference Genome Laboratory, and the Electron Microscope Unit, reflecting the high scientific standards applied at the center, operated by elite cadres using the latest internationally accredited equipment and technologies.
For his part, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research commended the advanced facilities of the Center, its adoption of state-of-the-art global technologies, and its focus on raising the scientific competencies of its personnel. He also praised the Armed Forces’ support for the National Reference Genome Project through research initiatives such as the Population Genome, Rare Genetic Diseases Genome, and Ancient Egyptian Genome. He stressed that these efforts will significantly contribute to Egypt’s progress towards personalized medicine in diagnosis and treatment, and to the development of a comprehensive genetic map of the Egyptian people, enabling the design of targeted health strategies based on genetic data.
