إلتقى الفريق / أحمد خليفة رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة الفريق أول ركن / خالد حفتر رئيس الأركان العامة للجيش الليبى والوفد المرافق له الذى يزور مصر حالياً ، حيث أجريت له مراسم إستقبال رسمية بمقر الأمانة العامة لوزارة الدفاع وعزفت الموسيقات العسكرية السلام الوطنى لكلا البلدين .
تناول اللقاء مناقشة عدداً من الموضوعات ذات الإهتمام المشترك وسبل دعم وتعزيز أوجه التعاون العسكرى والأمنى بين القوات المسلحة المصرية والليبية .
وأشار رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة إلى عمق العلاقات التاريخية التى تربط بين الشعبين الشقيقين ، مؤكداً على أهمية إستمرار التنسيق وتوحيد الجهود لمواجهة كافة التحديات المشتركة ودعم ركائز الأمن والإستقرار على كافة الأراضى الليبية .
من جانبه أعرب رئيس الأركان العامة للجيش الليبى عن تقديره العميق لمواقف مصر الثابتة والداعمة للشعب الليبى ، مشيراً إلى تطلعه أن تشهد المرحلة المقبلة مزيداً من التعاون المشترك بين القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين .
حضر اللقاء عدد من قادة القوات المسلحة المصرية والليبية .

Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Meets with Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, met with General Khaled Haftar, Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt.
An official reception ceremony was held at the Ministry of Defense Headquarters, where the military band played the national anthems of both countries.
The meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, as well as ways to strengthen and enhance military and security cooperation between the Egyptian and Libyan Armed Forces.
The Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces highlighted the deep historical ties binding the two brotherly peoples, stressing the importance of continued coordination and unified efforts to confront common challenges and support the foundations of security and stability across all Libyan territories.
For his part, the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army expressed his profound appreciation for Egypt’s steadfast and supportive positions towards the Libyan people, noting his aspiration that the coming stage will witness further joint cooperation between the Armed Forces of both countries.
