It was a magnificent and unforgettable event last August at the LA Tribune International Film Festival, the screening of the film trilogy Ectropy, Creation, Entropy, defined as a “cosmic trilogy,” an eternal cycle of birth, life, and death, which perfectly blends the sculptural and cinematic art of the iconic Sir Daniel Winn.
– Ectropy: From Chaos to Order, starring Daniel Winn and Vivienne Lucille, directed by Jordan Schulz, is the prelude to the trilogy that narrates the birth of the universe as an explosion of energy, similar to the physical theory of the Big Bang, which is visualized as a chaos of particles everywhere, which can reflect the intersection of human thoughts, emotions, and feelings in the search for their eventual synergy.
In a film studio , digital magic brings to life a majesty where intricate cave walls and a lush forest immerse the viewer in an exploratory dream.

And here is “Creation,” the second film in the trilogy. Directed by Angel E. Vera, it stars Sir Daniel Winn.
The film expresses Sir Daniel Winn’s philosophy of existential surrealism.
Creation emphasizes the circle of life by depicting the emergence of humanity and the natural world. In the theme of death and rebirth, Winn’s sculptures transform organic human bodies from destruction.
Semiotically, Winn’s life-size sculptures, weighing nearly 2,200 pounds, “Quantum Mechanics: Femme and Homme,” from his “Dark Matter” series, are exhibited in the film.
Creation was filmed in Hollywood, Big Sur, Orange County, and Joshua Tree.
The film serves as a metaphor for the innate creative capacity within each of us.
Our hands allow us to shape, our minds to imagine things that have not yet materialized, and our language is robust enough to convey and understand abstract concepts. As life forms, we have the ability to write, speak, invent, paint, sculpt… create. We possess the ability not only to adapt to our environment, but also to modify it according to our preferences. We can shape our world and our reality. In our hands lies the power to actively create our responses to the influences around us, responses that, however, give rise to responsibilities.

I would relate Winn’s concept of creation as contrasting elements to love, which, in my opinion, also contains contrasting elements.

-Entropy: From Order to Chaos.
Entropy is the epilogue of the film trilogy.
Entropia portrays the inevitable decay and a return to chaos, but it also contains the reverse path.
We witness the ruin of the Garden of Eden and humanity.
We witness a violent explosion that can be transfigured, as in Ectropia, by the wandering of thoughts, emotions, and feelings that now drift apart, losing energy. This process is similar to the artist’s creative process.

Sir Daniel Winn founded the Winn Slavin Fine Art Gallery, which is one of the most renowned galleries in the world, with locations in glamorous locations such as Beverly Hills, Shanghai, and Ho Chi Minh City.
As an artist, his works have had the honor of being exhibited alongside those of legends such as Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso. Furthermore, he is the president of the Academy of Fine Art Foundation and a noted philanthropist.
In 2018, he received the honorary title of “Sir” from Prince Waldemar of Schaumburg-Lippe for his extraordinary contributions to philanthropy.
In August 2025, Sir Daniel Winn received the award from Moe Rock, CEO of The Los Angeles Tribune and founder of the LA Tribune International Film Festival.
In December 2025, Sir Daniel Winn will receive the Excellence in Art Vesuvius Award from Giovanna D’Amodio, president of the Vesuvius Film Festival, and Count Federico Wardal, testimonial of the film festival. As part of the Vesuvius Film Festival, Sir Daniel will be the patron of the photographic exhibition “Fellini’s Dream,” curated by Giovanna D’Amodio and Graziano Marraffa, President of the Historical Archives of Italian Cinema.
