إنطلاقاً من الدور المجتمعى الذى تقوم به القوات المسلحة لتعميق أواصر الترابط مع أبناء المحافظات الحدودية التى تقع فى نطاق الجيوش الميدانية والمناطق العسكرية ، نظمت قيادة المنطقة الغربية العسكرية لقاء وحفل إفطار لعدد من شيوخ وعواقل محافظة مطروح ، وذلك بحضور اللواء / خالد شعيب محافظ مطروح وعدد من القيادات الأمنية والتنفيذية وممثلى المجتمع المدنى بالمحافظة .
تناول اللقاء إستعراض الموقف التنفيذى لتلبية مطالب أبناء محافظة مطروح فى مختلف القطاعات ، فضلاً عن عرض أخر المستجدات لتنفيذ خطط التنمية الشاملة والتى تتم بالتعاون مع مختلف أجهزة الدولة .
ونقل اللواء أ ح / حاتم مصطفى زهران قائد المنطقة الغربية العسكرية تحيات وتقدير الفريق أول / عبدالمجيد صقر القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربى والفريق / أحمد خليفة رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة للحضور ، مؤكداً حرص القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة على دعم جهود أجهزة الدولة فى تقديم كافة أوجه الرعاية والإهتمام لأبناء المحافظات الحدودية للمساهمة فى توفير الحياة الكريمة لهم ، مشيداً بالدور الوطنى لشيوخ وعواقل مطروح وجهودهم الداعمة للقوات المسلحة لحماية الحدود الغربية للدولة .
من جانبهم أشار الحضور إلى أهمية تلك اللقاءات التى تعزز العلاقة الوطيدة بين أبناء محافطة مطروح وقواتهم المسلحة ، معربين عن تقديرهم لجهود المنطقة الغربية العسكرية فى تقديم كافة أوجه الدعم لإنجاز المشروعات التنموية بالمحافظة ، فضلاً عن دورها فى حماية الإتجاه الإستراتيجى الغربى .

The Western Military Zone Organizes a Meeting and Iftar Banquet for Tribal Elders of Matruh Governorate
As part of the Armed Forces’ societal role in strengthening ties with residents of border governorates within the operational scope of field armies and military zones, the Western Military Zone Command organized a meeting and Iftar banquet for a number of tribal elders and dignitaries from Matrouh Governorate. The event was attended by Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, along with several security and executive officials, as well as representatives of civil society organizations in the governorate.
The meeting included a review of the ongoing efforts to address the needs of Matrouh’s residents across various sectors, as well as updates on the implementation of comprehensive development plans in cooperation with different state institutions.
Major General Hatem Mostafa Zahran, Commander of the Western Military Zone, conveyed the greetings and appreciation of General Abdel-Meguid Saqr Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to the attendees. He reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to supporting state institutions in providing care and services to border communities, contributing to an improved quality of life. He also commended the patriotic role of Matruh’s tribal elders and their unwavering support for the Armed Forces in securing the western borders of the country.
For their part, the attendees emphasized the significance of such engagements in reinforcing the deep-rooted bond between the people of Matruh and their Armed Forces. They expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Western Military Zone in supporting developmental projects within the governorate, in addition to its vital role in safeguarding Egypt’s western strategic direction.
