التقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي بالرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس، وذلك على هامش أعمال القمة العربية غير العادية التي عقدت بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن السيد الرئيس أكد خلال اللقاء على دعم مصر الثابت والدائم للشعب الفلسطيني وقضيته العادلة، كما أعرب عن رفض مصر، قيادةً وشعبًا، لتهجير الفلسطينيين من أراضيهم، وكافة أشكال التصعيد الإسرائيلي ضد أبناء الشعب الفلسطيني سواء في قطاع غزة أو الضفة الغربية، مشدداً على إستمرار الجهود المصرية لضمان تنفيذ إتفاق وقف إطلاق النار بمراحله الثلاث، مشيرًا إلى أنه لا بديل عن إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية على حدود الرابع من يونيو عام ١٩٦٧، وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، بإعتبارها الضمانة الوحيدة لتحقيق الإستقرار والسلام الدائم في المنطقة.
وأضاف السفير محمد الشناوي، المتحدث الرسمي، أن السيد الرئيس أكد أيضًا على دعم مصر للسلطة الفلسطينية، واستمرار الجهود المصرية لتحقيق التوافق بين أطياف الشعب الفلسطيني، بما في ذلك إعلان تشكيل لجنة الإسناد المجتمعي، وإتمام باقي الإصلاحات التي أعلن عنها الرئيس ابو مازن في السلطة الفلسطينية، وتأكيده على استحداث منصب نائب رئيس السلطة الفلسطينية ،وإصدار قرار بالعفو عن المفصولين من حركة فتح في إطار لم الشمل الفلسطيني، والتوصل إلى تفاهمات تُضمن حماية القضية الفلسطينية من التحديات الجسيمة التي تواجهها خلال هذه المرحلة التاريخية الدقيقة. ومن جانبه، اعرب الرئيس الفلسطيني عن تقديره وامتنانه للجهود المصرية المستمرة تجاه القضية الفلسطينية، والدور المحوري الذي تلعبه مصر في حماية مقدرات الشعب الفلسطيني.

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, on the sidelines of the extraordinary Arab Summit held in the New Administrative Capital.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President affirmed Egypt’s steadfast and permanent support for the Palestinian people and their just cause. The President expressed the rejection of the leadership and people of Egypt of the displacement of Palestinians from their lands and all forms of Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people, whether in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank. The President stressed the continuation of Egyptian efforts to ensure the implementation of the three stages of the ceasefire agreement, noting that there is no alternative to establishing a Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as it is the only guarantee for achieving stability and lasting peace in the region.
President El-Sisi stressed Egypt’s support for the Palestinian Authority, and the continuation of Egyptian efforts to achieve consensus among the Palestinian people, including the announcement of the formation of the Community Support Committee, the completion of the remaining reforms announced by President Abbas in the Palestinian Authority, including the creation of the position of Vice President of the Palestinian Authority and the issuance of a decree to pardon those dismissed from the Fatah movement within the framework of Palestinian reunification. This is in addition to reaching understandings that guarantee the protection of the Palestinian cause from the grave challenges it faces during this critical historical juncture. For his part, the Palestinian president expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the ongoing Egyptian efforts towards the Palestinian cause, and the pivotal role played by Egypt in protecting the capabilities of the Palestinian people.
