التقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، بالرئيس اللبناني “جوزاف عون”، وذلك على هامش أعمال القمة العربية غير العادية التي عقدت بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية بأن السيد الرئيس أكد على دعم مصر الدائم والثابت للبنان الشقيق، ولجهود الرئيس اللبناني نحو تحقيق الاستقرار والأمان للشعب اللبناني.
وأضاف السفير محمد الشناوي، المتحدث الرسمي، أن السيد الرئيس شدد على أهمية تعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين مصر ولبنان في جميع المجالات، لاسيما في الجوانب الاقتصادية. وأوضح السيد الرئيس إستعداد الشركات المصرية للانخراط بفعالية وكفاءة في عملية التنمية وإعادة الإعمار في لبنان، فضلًا عن إستعداد مصر لتقديم كافة سبل الدعم الممكنة لرفع كفاءة وتعزيز قدرات مؤسسات الدولة اللبنانية.
وأشار المتحدث الرسمي إلى أن السيد الرئيس أكد أيضًا على دعم مصر لتنفيذ إتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في لبنان، وتنفيذ قرار مجلس الأمن رقم ١٧٠١، كما شدد الرئيسان على ضرورة الإنسحاب الفوري الكامل للقوات الإسرائيلية من جنوب لبنان.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي أن الرئيس اللبناني أعرب عن اعتزازه بلقاء السيد الرئيس، مثمّنًا العلاقات الأخوية الوطيدة التي تجمع مصر ولبنان، ومقدّرًا الدعم المصري المستمر للبنان وشعبه، كما أكد الرئيسان على تطلعهما لتعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين البلدين في كافة المجالات.

This evening, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab Summit, which was held in the New Administrative Capital.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the President emphasized Egypt’s firm and persistent support for Lebanon and for the Lebanese President’s efforts toward achieving stability and security for the Lebanese people.
President El-Sisi confirmed the need to further strengthen cooperation between Egypt and Lebanon across all areas, notably the economic domains. The President highlighted the preparedness of Egyptian companies to effectively and efficiently engage in the development and reconstruction processes in Lebanon. He also stressed Egypt’s willingness to provide all forms of support to enhance the capacity and boost the capabilities of Lebanon’s institutions.
President El-Sisi also affirmed Egypt’s support for the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon and of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. The two Presidents reiterated the vital importance of an immediate and full withdrawal of Israeli forces from south Lebanon.
Lebanon’s President expressed appreciation for meeting with President El-Sisi, and valued the brotherly and close relations Egypt and Lebanon share. He also appreciated Egypt’s persistent support for Lebanon and its people. The two Presidents looked forward to forging closer bilateral cooperation between the two countries across all domains.
