استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، بقصر الاتحادية، الرئيس الزامبي “هاكيندي هيشيليما”، حيث أقيمت مراسم الاستقبال الرسمي وتم عزف السلامين الوطنيين واستعراض حرس الشرف.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن اللقاء شهد عقد مباحثات ثنائية تلتها مباحثات موسعة ضمت وفدي البلدين، كما شهد الرئيسان التوقيع على عدد من اتفاقات التعاون بين البلدين.
وقد عقد الرئيسان مؤتمراً صحفياً في ختام الاجتماعات، وفيما يلي نص كلمة السيد الرئيس في المؤتمر الصحفي:
أخى فخامة الرئيس/ هاكيندى هيشيليما..
رئيس جمهورية زامبيا الشقيقة،
السيدات والسادة الحضور،
إنه لمن دواعى سرورى، أن أرحب بأخى، فخامة الرئيس “هاكيندى هيشيليما”، فى بلده الثانى مصر، متمنيا له إقامة طيبة وزيارة مثمرة.. وأود أن أغتنم هذه المناسبة، لأعرب عن تقديرنا العميق، للعلاقات التاريخية التى تجمع بين بلدينا، والتى تعكس روح التكامل والتضامن الإفريقى.
السيدات والسادة،
لقد أجريت مع أخى الرئيس “هيشيليما”، مباحثات ثنائية مثمرة وبناءة.. عكست إرادتنا السياسية المشتركة، نحو تعزيز التعاون بين بلدينا فى مختلف المجالات؛ السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والتنموية.
ولقد اتفقنا على أهمية الاستغلال الأمثل لقدرات بلدينا، لتحقيق تطلعات شعبينا الشقيقين.. وبما يليق بالعلاقات الوطيدة والتاريخية بينهما.
ومن هذا المنطلق، فقد تم الاتفاق على تعزيز الأطر التعاهدية بين البلدين،
فى مجالات التشاور السياسى، وتشجيع الاستثمارات المتبادلة، والزراعة، والاستزراع السمكى، والبنية التحتية.
كما أكدت للرئيس “هيشيليما”، استعداد مصر لنقل خبراتها التنموية، وتقديم كافة أشكال الدعم والمساندة لزامبيا، للنهوض بكفاءات كوادرها فى المجالات ذات الأولوية .. فضلا عن تطوير أطر العمل، فى مؤسسات الدولة الزامبية.
كما تباحثنا حول فرص الاستثمار، فى مشروع ممر “لوبيتو” الحيوى، وذلك فى إطار السعى، لتحفيز مشاركة القطاعين العام والخاص المصريين، فى الأنشطة الاستثمارية المختلفة فى زامبيا .. لتشجيع وتوثيق العلاقات، بين مجتمعى الأعمال بالبلدين الشقيقين، وسعيا لتعظيم الاستفادة من منتدى الأعمال المصرى الزامبى، الجارى تنظيمه فى القاهرة، بالتزامن مع زيارة الرئيس “هيشيليما”.
الحضور الكريم،
لقد تبادلت مع أخى الرئيس الرؤى، إزاء مختلف التحديات التنموية، التى تواجه قارتنا الإفريقية، ولاسيما ارتفاع معدلات الفقر، وأزمة الديون، وتغير المناخ .. حيث اتفقنا على ضرورة العمل المشترك، وتنسيق المواقف للدفع بالأولويــات الإفريقيــة علـى الأجنــدة الدوليــة .. فضلا عن العمل على إصلاح المنظمات القارية، بما يجعلها أكثر استجابة للتحديات وتحقيقا لمصالح شعوبنا، وضرورة الاستفادة من الأطر القارية، وخاصة اتفاقية التجارة الحرة القارية، واتفاقية الكوميسا، واتفاقية التجارة الحرة الثلاثية، لتعزيز التكامل والاندماج الإقليمى بين دول القارة.
تناولنا أيضا، عددا من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية محل الاهتمام المشترك، وعلى رأسها تطورات الأوضاع فى غزة والسودان .. وفى جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية، والقرن الإفريقى، وأمن البحر الأحمر، والأمن المائى .. حيث أكدنا على حرص بلدينا، على تعزيز الاستقرار فى قارتنا الإفريقية
ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط، واتفقنا على مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور فى هذا الصدد.

أسعدنى لقاؤكم اليوم، وأتطلع لمزيد من التعاون الوثيق بين مصر وزامبيا، لما فيه المصلحة المشتركة لبلدينا ولقارتنا الإفريقية .. وأتمنى لزامبيا ولشعبها الشقيق، ولفخامتكم، دوام الخير والاستقرار والتقدم.
وأجدد ترحيبى بكم، وبالوفد المرافق لفخامتكم، فى بلدكم الثانى “مصر”.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with President of the Republic of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, at Al-Ittihadiya Palace. An official reception ceremony was held, the national anthems were played and the two Presidents inspected the guard of honor.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said President El-Sisi and Zambia’s President held a bilateral session of talks, followed by an expanded meeting attended by the two countries’ delegations. The two Presidents later witnessed the signing ceremony of a number of cooperation agreements between Egypt and Zambia, and held a joint press conference, the President’s statement is as follows:

Ladies and gentlemen,
It gives me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to my brother, His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema, in his second homeland Egypt, wishing him a pleasant stay and a productive visit. I would like to seize this opportunity to express profound appreciation for the historical relations between our countries, which reflect the spirit of African integration and solidarity.
Ladies and gentlemen,
I held constructive and productive discussions with my brother President Hichilema, which confirmed our shared political will to cultivate closer bilateral relations between our countries in various political, economic, social and developmental realms.
We agreed on the need to leverage our countries’ capacities in order to achieve the aspirations of our peoples in a manner that befits their longstanding and historical relations.
Driven by this commitment, we concurred on enhancing the contractual frameworks between our countries in the areas of political consultation, promotion of mutual investments, agriculture, aquaculture, and infrastructure.
I also emphasized to President Hichilema Egypt’s preparedness to share its developmental expertise and offer extensive support and assistance to empower Zambia’s workforce capabilities in various priority areas. We also aim to collaborate on strengthening operational frameworks within Zambia’s state institutions.
President Hichilema and I discussed investment opportunities in the vital “Lobito Corridor” project, as part of efforts to stimulate the engagement of Egyptian public and private sectors in an array of investment activities in Zambia. This aims to unlock new avenues for cooperation between the two countries’ business communities and capitalize on the Egyptian-Zambian Business Forum, held concurrently with President Hichilema’s visit.
We exchanged views on the various developmental challenges encountering our African continent, primarily the high rates of poverty, the debt crisis, and climate change. We agreed on the importance of joint action and the need to coordinate positions to advance African priorities on the international agenda.
President Hichilema and I also underscored the importance of reforming continental organizations to boost their capabilities to address current challenges and to better serve the interests of our peoples. We emphasized the crucial need to utilize continental frameworks, notably the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), and the Tripartite Free Trade Area (TFTA), to bolster regional integration and amalgamation among African countries.
Our talks today also touched on a multitude of regional and international issues of mutual interest, with special focus on developments in Gaza, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Horn of Africa, Red Sea security and water security. We reiterated our countries’ commitment to fostering stability in our African continent and the Middle East region, and agreed to continue consultations and coordination in this regard.

I was pleased to meet with you today and I look forward to more close collaboration between Egypt and Zambia to serve the joint interests of our countries and our African continent. I extend my sincere wishes for enduing prosperity, stability and progress for Zambia, its people and for Your Excellency.
