إلتقى الفريق أول / عبد المجيد صقر القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربى بالسيد / عبد القادر محمـد نور وزير الدفاع الصومالى والوفد المرافق له الذى يزور مصر حالياً وذلك بمقر الأمانة العامة لوزارة الدفاع .
فى بداية اللقاء رحب القائد العام للقوات المسلحة بوزير الدفاع الصومالى والوفد المرافق له ، مشيداً بعمق العلاقات التاريخية التى تجمع بين مصر والصومال وإعتزازه بعلاقات الشراكة التى تربط القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين .
تناول اللقاء مناقشة آخر التطورات والأحداث على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية وإنعكاساتها على الأمن والإستقرار داخل القارة الأفريقية .
ومن جانبه أعرب وزير الدفاع الصومالى عن عميق شكره وتقديره لجهود مصر فى إرساء دعائم الأمن والإستقرار لكافة دول القارة الإفريقية ، مرحباً بالمشاركة المصرية ضمن بعثة الإتحاد الإفريقى بدولة الصومال ، مؤكداً على أهمية التعاون المشترك بين القوات المسلحة المصرية والصومالية فى مختلف المجالات .
حضر اللقاء الفريق / أحمد خليفة رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة وقادة الأفرع الرئيسية وعدد من قادة القوات المسلحة لكلا البلدين .

General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Mr. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, Somali Minister of Defense, and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Egypt, at the Ministry of Defense headquarters.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces welcomed the Somali Minister of Defense and his delegation, praising the deep historical relations between Egypt and Somalia and expressing pride in the partnership that connects the Armed Forces of both countries.
The meeting discussed the latest developments and events on both the regional and international stages and their impact on security and stability within the African continent.
For his part, the Somali Minister of Defense expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in establishing security and stability across the African continent. He welcomed Egypt’s participation in the African Union mission in Somalia and emphasized the importance of joint cooperation between the Egyptian and Somali Armed Forces in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches, and several military leaders from both countries.
