نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية يستقبل نظيره العُماني ويبحث تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية

استقبل نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، وزير خارجية سلطنة عُمان الشقيقة، السيد بدر البوسعيدي، والوفد المرافق له، في مبنى وزارة الخارجية بالعاصمة بغداد.
ورحب السيد الوزير بهذه الزيارة، مشيداً بعمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تجمع العراق وسلطنة عُمان، ومؤكداً أهمية تعزيز التعاون المشترك في المجالات الاقتصادية والتجارية والتعليمية والأمنية، بما يحقق تطلعات البلدين الشقيقين.
من جانبه، أكد الوزير العُماني انفتاح سلطنة عُمان الكامل على تعزيز علاقاتها مع العراق، مشيراً إلى أهمية تفعيل مذكرات التفاهم بين البلدين، وتعزيز التعاون مع رجال الأعمال وتنظيم المعارض التجارية لتوسيع آفاق الشراكة الاقتصادية.
وخلال اللقاء، بحث الجانبان سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بما يحقق المصالح المشتركة، مع التأكيد على أهمية التنسيق والتشاور المستمر حول القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك،
وشدد الوزيران على أهمية توحيد الرؤى والمواقف في المحافل الإقليمية والدولية، وتعزيز التعاون بين العراق وسلطنة عُمان في مواجهة التحديات المشتركة.
تأتي هذه الزيارة في إطار انعقاد اجتماعات اللجنة المشتركة العراقية-العُمانية، التي ستبدأ أعمالها يوم غد الأحد برئاسة وزيري خارجية البلدين، بهدف تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في مختلف المجالات السياسية والاقتصادية والثقافية.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives his Omani Counterpart and Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received the Foreign Minister of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman Mr. Badr Albusaidi and his accompanying delegation, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad
Minister Fuad Hussein welcomed this visit, and commended the profound historical ties between Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman, in addition he emphasized the importance of enhancing joint cooperation in the economic, commercial, educational and security areas, in order to achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly countries.
On his part the Omani Foreign Minister affirmed the Sultanate of Oman’s complete openness to strengthening its relations with Iraq, pointing to the importance of activating memorandums of understanding between the two countries, and enhancing cooperation with businessmen and organizing trade fairs to expand the prospects for economic partnership.
As well the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations to achieve common interests, with an emphasis on the importance of continued coordination and consultation on issues of common concern.
Additionally both ministers underlined the importance of unifying visions and stances in regional and international forums, and enhancing cooperation between Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman in facing common challenges.
This visit comes as part of the meetings of the Iraqi-Omani Joint Committee which will start its work tomorrow, Sunday, headed by the foreign ministers of the two countries, with the aim of enhancing bilateral cooperation in various political, economic and cultural areas.
