جرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق بين البلدين، وتكثيف الجهود المشتركة في ظل استمرار العدوان الإسرائيلي اليومي والممنهج على المدنيين في قطاع غزة. وأكد الوزيران على ضرورة وضع حد للانتهاكات الجسيمة التي يتعرض لها الشعب الفلسطيني، بما في ذلك التهجير القسري والتدمير المتعمد، في خرق واضح وصريح للقانون الإنساني الدولي.

كما تناولت المناقشات تداعيات التصعيد القائم في المنطقة، حيث حذر الجانبان من خطورة توسيع دائرة الصراع الإقليمي، لما قد يؤدي إليه من اندلاع حرب شاملة.

وأكد الوزيران على أهمية التحرك الدولي العاجل لوقف الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية المتواصلة ودعم الشعب الفلسطيني، مع التشديد على ضرورة تكاتف الجهود لحماية الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Meets his Saudi Counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan in Cairo

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, on the sidelines of the Cairo Ministerial Conference to Enhance the Humanitarian Response in Gaza on 2 December 2024.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries, and intensifying joint efforts in light of the continued daily and systematic Israeli aggression against civilians in the Gaza Strip. As well both ministers stressed the need to end to the serious violations to which the Palestinian people are subjected including forced displacement and deliberate destruction, in a clear and explicit violation of international humanitarian law.

Additionally, the discussions touched on the repercussions of the ongoing escalation in the region, as both sides warned of the threats of expanding the scope of regional conflict, which could lead to the outbreak of a comprehensive war.

The two ministers affirmed the importance of urgent international action to stop the ongoing Israeli violations and support the Palestinian people, and emphasized the need for concerted efforts to protect security and stability in the region.
