استقبل نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم السبت الموافق 2 تشرين الثاني 2024، رئيس مجلس النواب، الدكتور محمود المشهداني. وفي مستهل اللقاء، هنأ السيد الوزير الدكتور المشهداني على انتخابه رئيساً لمجلس النواب، متمنياً له النجاح والتوفيق في مهامه الجديدة.
من جانبه، قدّم السيد رئيس مجلس النواب شكره للسيد الوزير على دعمه خلال الانتخابات، مؤكداً عزمه على العمل على حل القوانين العالقة، لا سيما تلك المرتبطة بالقضايا العالقة بين إقليم كردستان والحكومة الاتحادية. كما شدد على أهمية تفعيل دور البرلمان في طرح مشاريع القوانين، وتعزيز الدبلوماسية البرلمانية.
وأشار السيد الوزير إلى أهمية التعاون والعمل المشترك بين كافة الأطراف لإدارة شؤون البلاد سياسياً وإدارياً وتشريعياً، مع ضرورة التنسيق بين رئاسة البرلمان ووزارة الخارجية. كما تم خلال اللقاء التطرق إلى الظروف التي تمر بها المنطقة، والصراعات الخطيرة التي تواجهها، ودور العراق المحوري في التهدئة والسعي إلى إيجاد حلول سلمية.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Receives Parliament Speaker Dr. Mahmoud Al Mashhadani
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the Speaker of the Council of Representatives Dr. Mahmoud Al Mashhadani, on Saturday, 2 November 2024.
Minister Hussein congratulated Dr. Al Mashhadani on his election as Speaker of the Council of Representatives, wishing him success in his new tasks.
On his part Dr. Al Mashhadani thanked the Minister for his support during the elections, stressing his determination to resolve pending laws, especially those related to the pending issues between the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Government. His Excellency emphasized the importance of activating the role of Parliament in proposing draft laws and enhancing parliamentary diplomacy.
The Minister indicated that all parties should cooperate and jointly work to manage the country’s affairs politically, administratively and legislatively, with the need for coordination between the Presidency of the Parliament and the Foreign Ministry. The meeting also touched on the conditions the region is going through, the serious conflicts it faces, and Iraq’s pivotal role in calming the situation and seeking peaceful solutions.
