The Armed Forces organized a celebration marking the arrival of the new Hijri year 1446 AH, attended by a number of the Armed Forces leaders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and several prominent scholars from Al-Azhar and the Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments). The celebration commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter Sheikh/ Hani Al-Husseini.

Dr. Tarek Abdel-Hameed, Director General at the Ministry of Awqaf, delivered a speech emphasizing that commemorating this blessed occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s migration is filled with lessons and morals, guiding us to follow the noble example of the Prophet in speech, action, and character.

Major General/ Waleed Hamouda Awad, Assistant Minister of Defense, delivered a speech on behalf of General/ Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, congratulating the audience on the new Hijri year. He affirmed that the Armed Forces personnel remain faithful to their duties and responsibilities with strength and determination, following the example of the Seal of Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, in upholding noble values of work to protect the homeland and defend the integrity and safety of its territories.
