إنطلاق فعاليات القمة المصرية الأوروبية

انطلقت امس بالقاهرة فعاليات القمة المصرية الأوروبية، حيث استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي بقصر الاتحادية كل من السيدة “أورسولا فون ديرلاين”، رئيسة المفوضية الأوروبية،
والسيد “ألكسندر دي كروو”، رئيس وزراء بلجيكا رئيس الاتحاد الأوروبي،
والسيد “كيرياكوس ميتسوتاكيس”، رئيس وزراء اليونان،
والسيد “كارل نيهامر”، مستشار النمسا،
والسيد “نيكوس خريستودوليدس”، رئيس قبرص،
والسيدة “جورجيا ميلوني”، رئيسة وزراء إيطاليا.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية المستشار د. أحمد فهمي، أن السيد الرئيس عقد لقاءات ثنائية منفصلة مع كل من الضيوف، رحب خلالها بترفيع العلاقات بين مصر والاتحاد الأوروبي إلى مستوى “الشراكة الاستراتيجية والشاملة”، بهدف الارتقاء بمستوى التعاون بين الجانبين، وهو ما يؤكد تفهم الدور المحوري لمصر في العلاقات الأوروبية الأوسطية، فضلاً عن كونه يعكس العلاقات التاريخية التي تربط بين الجانبين ومصالحهما المشتركة.
وقد تم خلال اللقاءات مناقشة أوجه التعاون الاقتصادي والاستثماري، وكيفية بلورة خطوات محددة بما يضمن الاستفادة من المزايا النسبية لكلا الطرفين بالشكل الأمثل، حيث تناولت اللقاءات التعاون في مجالات توطين الصناعة، ونقل التكنولوجيا والتدريب، كما تم تناول التعاون في مجال الطاقة، وخاصةً انتاج الغاز الطبيعي، والتعاون المصري القبرصي في هذا المجال، فضلاً عن الاستفادة من الفرص الواعدة التي تقدمها مصر في مجالات الطاقة النظيفة والهيدروجين الأخضر، والعديد من مشروعات التعاون القائمة والجاري دراستها مع اليونان وبلجيكا والنمسا.
كما تمت مناقشة التعاون المشترك بين مصر وإيطاليا في قطاعات الأمن الغذائى والانتاج الزراعى واستصلاح الأراضي، حيث تم التوافق على إقامة شراكة بين مصر وإيطاليا في إطار المشروعات القومية الكبرى، وبحيث يتم نقل التكنولوجيا الإيطالية المتطورة لمصر في تلك المجالات، بما يعظم العائد ويزيد الصادرات الزراعية والغذائية المصرية لأوروبا.
وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي أن اللقاءات تناولت على صعيد آخر الأوضاع الإقليمية، وبالأخص الحرب في غزة، حيث أكد السيد الرئيس خلال المناقشات ضرورة اضطلاع المجتمع الدولي بمسئولياته في الدفع تجاه الوقف الفوري لإطلاق النار، وإدخال المساعدات بكميات كافية إلى القطاع لحمايته من الكارثة الإنسانية التي يتعرض لها، محذراً من أن أي عمليات عسكرية في مدينة رفح الفلسطينية ستكون لها تداعياتها الجسيمة على أمن المنطقة ككل، ومشدداً على ضرورة الالتزام بمسار حل الدولتين.
ومن جانبهم ثمن القادة الأوروبيون الموقف المصري الحكيم والنشط، الهادف لاستعادة الاستقرار بالمنطقة، وأعربوا عن امتنانهم للجهود المصرية الدؤوبة الرامية لاستعادة الأمن والاستقرار بالإقليم.
Today, the Egypt-EU Summit was launched in Cairo, where President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received at Al-Ittihadiya Palace President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen; Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, the current President of the European Union Presidency, Alexander De Croo; Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis; Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, Karl Nehammer; President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi held separate bilateral meetings with the European leaders. During the talks, the President welcomed the upgrading of Egypt’s relations with the European Union to the level of “Comprehensive and Strategic Partnership”, with a view to promoting cooperation between the two sides, acknowledging Egypt’s pivotal role in Euro-Mediterranean relations and demonstrating the historical relations that bind the two sides and their common interests.
The meetings discussed avenues of economic and investment cooperation and ways to develop specific steps to ensure leveraging the comparative advantages of both sides. The talks touched on cooperation in the localization of industry, the transfer of technology, and training as well as in the field of energy, notably the production of natural gas and Egyptian-Cypriot collaboration in this sphere. The leaders also tackled ways to capitalize on the promising opportunities offered in Egypt in the domain of clean energy and green hydrogen, and discussed a multitude of existing and under-study cooperation projects with Greece, Belgium and Austria.
President El-Sisi also deliberated on joint cooperation between Egypt and Italy in the sectors of food security, agricultural production and land reclamation. There was an alignment in views on the establishment of a partnership between Egypt and Italy in mega national projects, envisaging the transfer of advanced Italian technology to Egypt in these areas. This aims to boost the returns and increase Egyptian agriculture and food exports to Europe.
The discussions also focused on the latest developments in the region, primarily the war in Gaza. President El-Sisi confirmed the crucial need for the international community to assume its responsibilities and push for an immediate and urgent ceasefire and unrestricted access for significant quantities of much-needed humanitarian aid and relief to the sector to protect it from the severe humanitarian catastrophe its people have been enduring. President El-Sisi warned that any military operation in the Palestinian city of Rafah will have grave consequences on the security of the entire region, reiterating the need to commit to the path of the two-state solution.
For their part, the European leaders valued Egypt’s wise and dynamic position which seeks to restore stability in the region, expressing gratitude and appreciation for Egypt’s unyielding efforts toward re-establishing peace and stability in the region.
