استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم بمطار القاهرة الدولي، السيد الفريق أول ركن عبد الفتاح البرهان، رئيس مجلس السيادة الانتقالي السوداني. وقد أقيمت مراسم الاستقبال الرسمي بقصر الاتحادية، وتم استعراض حرس الشرف، وعزف السلامين الوطنيين.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية المستشار د. أحمد فهمي أن السيد الرئيس أكد خصوصية العلاقات الأخوية التاريخية بين مصر والسودان، مشدداً على حرص مصر على تعزيز التعاون المشترك بين البلدين بما يساهم في تحقيق مصالح الشعبين الشقيقين.
كما شهد اللقاء استعراض تطورات الأوضاع في السودان، والجهود الرامية لتسوية الأزمة الجارية بما يضمن استعادة الاستقرار، ويحافظ على سيادة ووحدة وتماسك الدولة السودانية ومؤسساتها، ويلبي تطلعات الشعب السوداني الشقيق نحو تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار.
وقد شدد السيد الرئيس على حرص مصر على أمن السودان الشقيق، ومواصلة تقديم الدعم الكامل لتحقيق الاستقرار السياسي والأمني والاقتصادي بالسودان، ودعم وحدة الصف السوداني وتسوية النزاع القائم، انطلاقاً من الارتباط الوثيق بين الأمن القومي للبلدين. كما أكد السيد الرئيس استمرار مصر في الاضطلاع بدورها في تخفيف الآثار الإنسانية للنزاع على الشعب السوداني.
وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي أن رئيس مجلس السيادة السوداني أكد تقدير بلاده الكبير للدعم المصري في ظل الظروف الحالية التي يمر بها السودان، مشيراً إلى أن هذا الدعم يعكس الروابط التاريخية الممتدة التي تجمع بين البلدين الشقيقين، والتي انعكست في الدور المصري في استقبال المواطنين السودانيين وتخفيف آثار الأزمة.
كما تناول اللقاء آخر مستجدات القضايا الإقليمية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما في ذلك الأوضاع في قطاع غزة، حيث تم تأكيد ضرورة وقف إطلاق النار وإنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية بشكل فوري، كما تم التوافق على استمرار التشاور المكثف والتنسيق المتبادل في هذا السياق خلال الفترة المقبلة لما فيه المصلحة المشتركة للبلدين والشعبين الشقيقين.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received President of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, at Cairo International Airport. An official reception ceremony was held at Al-Ittihadiya Palace, where the national anthems were played and the guards of honor were inspected.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi emphasized the special nature of the historical relations between Egypt and Sudan, stressing Egypt’s keenness on enhancing their joint cooperation for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
The meeting focused on developments in Sudan and efforts aimed at settling the ongoing crisis there to ensure restoring stability, preserving the sovereignty, unity, and cohesion of the Sudanese state and its institutions, and fulfilling the aspirations of the Sudanese people for achieving security and stability.
President El-Sisi confirmed Egypt’s keenness on Sudan’s security and on providing full support to achieve political, security and economic stability there. The President underscored Egypt’s commitment to supporting Sudan’s unity and to settling its ongoing conflict, given the close connection between the national security of the two countries. The President reiterated that Egypt is persistent in its role to alleviate the humanitarian repercussions of the conflict on the Sudanese people.
The President of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council affirmed that his country highly appreciates Egypt’s support during the current circumstances in Sudan, noting that this stance reflects the longstanding and steadfast historical bonds the two countries share. He noted that this was demonstrated in Egypt’s role in receiving Sudanese citizens and mitigating the impact of the crisis.
During their talks, the two leaders also discussed the latest developments in regional issues of common interest, including the situation in the Gaza Strip. They agreed on the imperative necessity of a ceasefire and the crucial need to ensure the delivery of urgently-needed humanitarian aid to the Strip. President El-Sisi and Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan also agreed to continue intensive consultations and coordination in this regard during the coming period for the benefit of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
