السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي يتلقي اتصالاً هاتفياً من الرئيس الأمريكي “جو بايدن”.

تلقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اتصالاً هاتفياً من الرئيس الأمريكي “جو بايدن”.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية المستشار أحمد فهمي أن الاتصال بين الرئيسين تناول سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية وتأكيد الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين الدولتين.
كما تم تناول الأوضاع الإقليمية في الشرق الأوسط وخاصة الحرب في قطاع غزة، حيث ناقش الرئيسان تطورات الجهود الجارية للتوصل لوقف إطلاق نار إنساني، بهدف حماية المدنيين، وتبادل المحتجزين والرهائن والأسرى، وإنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية، وبما يدفع في اتجاه خفض التوتر وإنهاء الأوضاع الراهنة.
وقد حرص السيد الرئيس على استعراض المبادرات والجهود المصرية للتواصل مع الأطراف المعنية بهدف التوصل إلى وقف فوري لإطلاق النار، مشيراً إلى ما قامت به مصر من جهود فائقة على مدار الشهور الماضية لإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية، وما تقابله تلك العملية من تحديات وصعوبات يجب تذليلها، مشدداً على أن مصر ستستمر في جهودها لتقديم الدعم لأهالي القطاع لتخفيف وطأة المأساة الإنسانية الجارية عليهم، ومؤكداً ضرورة اضطلاع المجتمع الدولي بمسئولياته تجاه تحقيق تلك الأهداف.
ومن جانبه، أشاد الرئيس الأمريكي بالدور المحوري الذي تقوم به مصر، وجهودها الإيجابية على جميع المسارات ذات الصلة بالأزمة الحالية، مؤكداً تقدير الولايات المتحدة للمواقف المصرية الداعمة للاستقرار في المنطقة، ومؤكداً دعم الولايات المتحدة لجهود مصر الدؤوبة لإنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية للمدنيين في قطاع غزة.
وأضاف المستشار أحمد فهمي أن الرئيسين جدداً الموقف الثابت لمصر والولايات المتحدة برفض أية محاولات لتهجير الفلسطينيين خارج أراضيهم، مع التوافق على حل الدولتين باعتباره أساس دعم الأمن والاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from US President Joe Biden.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the two presidents discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and confirmed the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The call also touched on the situation in the Middle East, mainly the war in the Gaza Strip. The two presidents discussed developments pertinent to the ongoing efforts to reach a humanitarian ceasefire, with the aim of protecting civilians, exchanging detainees, hostages and prisoners, and giving access to humanitarian aid, in a manner that reduces tension and ends the current situation.
President El-Sisi reviewed the Egyptian initiatives and efforts to communicate with the concerned parties with the aim of reaching an immediate ceasefire, underscoring Egypt’s enormous efforts over the past months to bring in humanitarian aid, as well as the challenges and difficulties that this process faces that must be overcome. The President stressed that Egypt will continue its efforts to provide assistance to the people of the Gaza Strip to alleviate the burden of the ongoing humanitarian crisis on them and emphasized that the international community had to assume its responsibilities towards achieving these goals.
US President Biden lauded the key role played by Egypt and its positive efforts on all tracks related to the current crisis and stressed the US’ appreciation for the Egyptian positions in support of stability in the region. He affirmed the support of the United States for Egypt’s tireless efforts to provide access to humanitarian aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The two presidents renewed the unwavering position of both Egypt and the United States rejecting any attempt to displace the Palestinians outside their lands, while agreeing on the two-state solution as the basis for supporting security and stability in the Middle East.
