التقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم مع الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، وذلك على هامش أعمال “الدورة الـ٢٨ لمؤتمر أطراف اتفاقية الأمم المُتحدة الإطارية لتغير المناخ” في دبي.

وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن اللقاء شهد تبادل وجهات النظر بشأن سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية المتميزة بين البلدين الصديقين، في ضوء الطابع الاستراتيجي لهذه العلاقات في مختلف المجالات.

كما تناول اللقاء متابعة التباحث بشأن القضايا الدولية والإقليمية لاسيما تغير المناخ، وكذا التصعيد في قطاع غزة، حيث تبادل الرئيسان وجهات النظر فيما يتعلق بالتطورات الأخيرة، واستعرض السيد الرئيس في هذا الصدد رؤية مصر بشأن ضرورة وقف إطلاق النار والتوسع في إدخال المساعدات الإنسانية للقطاع، فضلاً عن الجهود المصرية لاستقبال المصابين الفلسطينيين وإجلاء الرعايا الأجانب. وقد اتفق الطرفان على أهمية إيجاد حلول عاجلة للأزمة الجارية والتحرك لضمان نفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية، مع تأكيد أهمية البدء في عملية سياسية شاملة بهدف الوصول إلى تسوية عادلة للقضية الفلسطينية على أساس حل الدولتين وفقاً للمرجعيات الدولية ذات الصلة.

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, on the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in Dubai.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the two Presidents exchanged views on ways to further advance the outstanding relations between Egypt and France, in light of the strategic nature of these relations in various areas.

The meeting also focused on a multitude of regional and international issues, notably climate change as well as the escalation in the Gaza Strip. The two Presidents exchanged views on the recent developments, and President El-Sisi reviewed Egypt’s vision with regard to the crucial need for a ceasefire and for expanding the delivery of humanitarian relief and aid to the sector. The President also highlighted Egypt’s efforts to receive wounded Palestinians and evacuate foreign nationals. President El-Sisi and President Macron agreed on the vital importance of reaching urgent solutions to the ongoing crisis and taking action to ensure the access of humanitarian assistance, while stressing the necessity to launch a comprehensive political process, aimed at reaching a just settlement for the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution, in line with the relevant international terms of reference.
