استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم السيدة “تانيا فايون”، نائبة رئيس الوزراء وزيرة خارجية سلوفينيا، والسيد “جواو كرافينيو”، وزير خارجية البرتغال، وذلك بحضور السيد سامح شكري وزير الخارجية.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية المستشار أحمد فهمي أن الجانبين السلوفيني والبرتغالي رحبا بالهدنة الإنسانية المُعلنة بقطاع غزة، مثمنين الدور المصري القيادي، استراتيچياً وسياسياً وإنسانياً، على امتداد الأزمة منذ اندلاعها يوم ٧ أكتوبر الماضي، والذي كُلل من خلال الوساطة المشتركة بالتوصل إلى الهدنة وتبادل الإفراج عن الأسرى والمحتجزين، بالإضافة إلى دور مصر المُقدَّر كذلك في إجلاء الرعايا الأجانب من القطاع.
وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي أن اللقاء شهد التوافق حول ضرورة استكمال العمل لتثبيت الهدنة، والبناء عليها للتوصل إلى وقف دائم لإطلاق النار، إلى جانب ضرورة تقديم الدعم الفوري والفعال لجهود الإغاثة الإنسانية للقطاع، على النحو الكافي لإعاشة أهالي غزة الذين تعرضت سُبُل عيشهم وأمنهم للتدمير، كما شهد اللقاء التوافق حول الرفض القاطع لتهجير أهالي غزة من أراضيهم.
وقد ثمن السيد الرئيس مواقف دولتي البرتغال وسلوفينيا من النزاع، منوهاً إلى عضوية سلوفينيا غير الدائمة بمجلس الأمن لعامي 2024/2025، ومؤكداً أهمية تحرك المجتمع الدولي بجدية للتوصل إلى تسوية شاملة للقضية الفلسطينية، والاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة على حدود 4 يونيو 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، على نحو يحقق العدل ويضمن الأمن والاستقرار الدائمَيْن في المنطقة، لجميع شعوبها.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, João Gomes Cravinho.
The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that the Slovenian and Portuguese sides welcomed the humanitarian truce declared in the Gaza Strip, and valued the leading Egyptian role, strategically, politically and at the humanitarian level, throughout the crisis since its outbreak last October 7. Egypt’s efforts were culminated with the joint mediation that led to a truce and the exchanges of release of hostages and detainees. The two top diplomats also acknowledged Egypt’s role in evacuating foreign nationals from the Gaza Strip.
During the meeting, there was consensus on the necessity to continue efforts to firm up the truce, and build on it to reach a permanent ceasefire. The sides also agreed on the necessity of providing immediate and effective support to the humanitarian relief efforts for the Strip, in a manner sufficient to support the people of Gaza who have been deprived of their livelihoods and security. There was also agreement on the categorical rejection of the displacement of the people of Gaza from their lands.
President El-Sisi expressed appreciation for the positions of Portugal and Slovenia regarding the conflict, pointing out Slovenia’s non-permanent membership in the Security Council for the years 2024/2025. He stressed the need for the international community to move, in earnest, to reach a comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue, and recognize the independent Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This shall take place in a manner that achieves justice and ensures permanent security and stability in the region, for all its people.
