تلقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اتصالاً هاتفياً من السيد ريشي سوناك، رئيس وزراء المملكة المتحدة.
وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية المستشار أحمد فهمي أن الاتصال تناول مستجدات التصعيد العسكري الإسرائيلي في قطاع غزة، حيث أكد السيد الرئيس ضرورة اتخاذ المجتمع الدولي موقفاً حاسماً للدفع بجدية في اتجاه وقف إطلاق النار وإنفاذ هدنة إنسانية فورية، في ضوء الأوضاع الإنسانية المتدهورة في قطاع غزة، مشيراً إلى أن تسوية القضية الفلسطينية يتطلب إعمال حل الدولتين وأن الحلول العسكرية تهدد أمن واستقرار المنطقة بأسرها. كما أوضح السيد الرئيس أن مصر تبذل جهوداً كبيرة سواء على المسار السياسي لتهدئة الموقف وحقن الدماء أو على المستوى الإنساني من خلال تصديها لقيادة عملية تنسيق وإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية لإغاثة أهالي غزة، وهو ما أعرب معه رئيس الوزراء البريطاني عن التقدير البالغ للدور المصري، مؤكداً موقف المملكة المتحدة بضرورة حماية المدنيين وإنفاذ المساعدات والتوصل لهدنة إنسانية.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the phone call focused on the latest in the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip. President El-Sisi underscored the crucial need for the international community to adopt a decisive stance to push, in earnest, for a ceasefire and for the enforcement of an immediate humanitarian truce, given the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
The President confirmed that settling the Palestinian issue requires the implementation of the two-state solution, stressing that military solutions seriously compromise security and stability in the entire region.
President El-Sisi stated that Egypt exerts enormous efforts at both the political path to achieve calm and spare blood as well as at the humanitarian level by leading the coordination and delivery processes of humanitarian assistance and relief to the people in Gaza. British Prime Minister Sunak expressed profound appreciation for Egypt’s role, affirming the United Kingdom’s stance with regard to the vital importance to protect civilians, deliver aid and reach a humanitarian truce.
