تلقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اتصالاً هاتفياً من الرئيس القبرصي نيكوس خريستودوليدس.
وصرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن الاتصال شهد متابعة التباحث بشأن تطورات العمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية في قطاع غزة، وقد تم التوافق في هذا الشأن حول ضرورة تكثيف الجهود الدولية والإقليمية لوقف التصعيد باعتباره الأولوية الحالية لتجنب أن يأخذ أبعاداً أوسع تزيد من تعقيد الموقف. كما استعرض السيد الرئيس نتائج الاتصالات المكثفة التي تقوم بها مصر مع مختلف الأطراف المعنية من أجل وقف إطلاق النار، وتوفير النفاذ الآمن والعاجل للمساعدات الإنسانية إلى أهالي قطاع غزة، في ضوء الأوضاع الإنسانية المتدهورة في القطاع، فضلاً عن دفع مسار إحياء عملية السلام والتسوية العادلة والدائمة للقضية الفلسطينية على أساس حل الدولتين.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides.
Spokesman for the Presidency Counselor Ahmed Fahmy said the call reviewed developments of the Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip. There was consensus on the need to intensify international and regional efforts to stop the escalation as it is the current priority to prevent it from taking broader dimensions that increase the complexity of the situation.
The President also reviewed the results of the intensive contacts carried out by Egypt with various concerned parties in order to reach a ceasefire and provide safe and urgent access to humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip, in light of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Strip, as well as advancing the process of reviving the peace process and realising a just and lasting settlement for the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution.
