التقى السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي امس في باريس مع الرئيس إيمانويل ماكرون، رئيس الجمهورية الفرنسية، وذلك على مأدبة غداء عمل، أقامها الرئيس الفرنسي على شرف السيد الرئيس بقصر الإليزيه، تكريماً لسيادته واحتفاءً بزيارته لفرنسا، للمشاركة في قمة الميثاق التمويلي العالمي الجديد.
وصرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن الرئيس الفرنسي رحب بزيارة السيد الرئيس إلى باريس، معرباً عن تقدير بلاده لمصر، ومثمناً الروابط الوثيقة بين مصر وفرنسا وعمق أواصر الصداقة التي تجمع بين البلدين، خاصةً في ظل الزخم الكبير الذي تشهده العلاقات الثنائية في مختلف المجالات، لاسيما على صعيد العلاقات الاقتصادية والتجارية. كما أكد الرئيس الفرنسي حرص بلاده على التنسيق والتشاور المكثف مع مصر كأحد أهم شركائها الإقليميين، مثمناً دورها في إرساء دعائم الاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط ومنطقة البحر المتوسط والقارة الأفريقية، وجهودها في مكافحة الإرهاب والفكر المتطرف والهجرة غير الشرعية.
من جانبه؛ أشاد السيد الرئيس بالتطور الملحوظ والمتنامي في العلاقات الثنائية بين مصر وفرنسا على كافة الأصعدة، مؤكداً تطلع مصر لمواصلة تعزيز التنسيق السياسي وتبادل وجهات النظر مع فرنسا إزاء مختلف القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، خاصةً ما يتعلق بقضايا التنمية المستدامة ودعم السلم والأمن في المنطقة، فضلاً عن مواصلة العمل الوثيق من أجل الارتقاء بالتعاون الثنائي وتعظيم الاستفادة من الإمكانات والفرص المتاحة لدى البلدين الصديقين، لاسيما في القطاعات التي تتمتع فيها فرنسا بخبرات وقدرات متميزة مثل قطاع النقل، وقطاع الطاقة المتجددة في مجال الهيدروجين الأخضر، بالإضافة إلى تشجيع الشركات الفرنسية على الاستفادة من الفرص الاستثمارية المتاحة في مصر.
وأضاف المتحدث باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن اللقاء شهد تناول سبل تطوير العلاقات الثنائية، كما تم التشاور حول القضايا الاقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، لاسيما مستجدات الأزمة الروسية الأوكرانية وتداعياتها السلبية على أسواق الغذاء والطاقة على مستوى العالم، إلى جانب تطورات الأوضاع في السودان، بالإضافة إلى استعراض سبل تنسيق الجهود مع مصر كشريك رائد للاتحاد الأوروبي في مجال مكافحة الإرهاب والهجرة غير الشرعية، فضلاً عن التباحث بشأن أهم النتائج المنتظرة لقمة “ميثاق التمويل العالمي الجديد”، مع تأكيد حرص البلدين على التعاون والتنسيق من أجل تعزيز المبادرات الدولية الهادفة لدعم الدول النامية، وتيسير نفاذها للتمويل اللازم لمواجهة التداعيات الاقتصادية السلبية الناتجة عن تصاعد العديد من التحديات على المستوى العالمي.
Today in Paris, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, who hosted a lunch banquet at the Élysée Palace in honor of President El-Sisi and in celebration of his visit to France to participate in the Paris Summit for a New Global Financing Pact.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmad Fahmy, said the French President welcomed the visit by President El-Sisi to Paris, expressing his country’s appreciation of Egypt. President Macron valued the firm bonds between Egypt and France as well as the profound friendship the two countries share, particularly in light of the huge momentum their bilateral relations have been witnessing across various fields, notably at the economic and trade levels. The French President underscored France’s keenness on holding intensive consultations and coordination with Egypt, as one of its key regional partners. He valued Egypt’s role in establishing the pillars of stability in the Middle East, the Mediterranean region and the African continent and its efforts in combating terrorism, extremist ideology and illegal migration.
President El-Sisi lauded the remarkable and growing progress in bilateral relations across all levels. He emphasized that Egypt is seeking to further enhance political consultations and the exchange of views with France on various regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly with regard to issues of sustainable development and consolidating peace and security in the region. The President stressed the importance of working closer together to bolster bilateral cooperation and leverage the potential and opportunities of the two friendly countries, particularly in the sectors where France is enjoying extensive expertise and outstanding potential, such as the transport sector and the renewable energy sector in the field of green hydrogen. This is, in addition to encouraging French companies to capitalize on the investment opportunities available in Egypt.
During their meeting, the two Presidents explored ways to further promote bilateral relations and discussed regional and international issues of common interest, particularly the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and its negative repercussions on world food and energy markets. President El-Sisi and French President Macron also focused on developments in Sudan and reviewed ways to coordinate efforts with Egypt as a leading partner of the EU in the areas of combating terrorism and illegal migration. They also deliberated on the most important outcomes expected to emanate from the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact, and confirmed their countries’ commitment to collaborating and coordinating for the sake of enhancing international initiatives aimed at supporting developing countries and facilitating their access to needed financial flows to address the negative economic repercussions resulting from the escalation of the many successive global challenges.
