Headed by Mr. Ahmed Sabry, the tourism expert, the First International Conference on Medical Tourism was held in Safaga, in the tourist village of Menafil, at the beginning of this month.

The tourism expert, Mr. Ahmed Sabry, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Managing Director and Executive Director of Menaville Tourist Village said,

We have held this conference under the auspices of Mina Vale because we stand behind President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and we are implementing the plan and directives of His Excellency in implementing the 2030 sustainable development plan. We have penetrated the field of tourism in general and medical tourism in particular, in order to attract the most important type of tourism, which is medical tourism. Menafil Safaga for treatment of psoriasis and rheumatoid stays for about a month, thus increasing the national income of the country from medical tourism.

The tourism expert, Professor Ahmed Sabri, adds: Medical tourism is the future of Egypt in providing hard currency, and medical tourism can be considered the winning card in leading the tourism sector in Egypt.

The equation is not difficult, but rather it is merely a rearrangement and organization of this entity in light of serious efforts to put Egypt on the medical tourism map in light of unfair competition with other countries that have much less capabilities, but they make a lot of money from this sector.

Dr. Hani Al-Nazer, a consultant dermatologist and consultant to the village of Menaville, says: Medical tourism may enter Egypt, approximately $30 billion annually. Egypt has many natural resources in medical tourism, in a way that is not found in many countries.

He pointed out that the Germans were the ones who discovered medical tourism in Safaga, and conveyed this note to those responsible for tourism in the Red Sea, so they studied this matter for 3 years, and made sure that this place has no competitor in the world in the treatment of psoriasis, and the second competitor is the Dead Sea. .

He pointed out during the conference that a psoriasis patient bathes in the sun in Safaga early in the morning, and then sits in the sun under medical supervision for two or three weeks, after which the disease disappears without any treatment.

The village of Menafil in Safaga is surrounded
by many islands, and surrounded by high mountains.
These mountains are a natural barrier against the dusty
winds. The water current in this area is slow,
which increases the salinity rate, and this is
what contributes to the treatment of psoriasis
 in Menavel.

Dr. Hani Al-Nazer explains that medical tourism is very important, because the average tourist can come for 4 days, while those who come for medical tourism will last at least 4 weeks.

In response to a question by a journalist about
the scientific explanation for the recovery
of patients from psoriasis in Safaga,

The nazir replied that when washing the infected skin
with water that has high salinity and then exposing
it to the ultraviolet rays of the sun,
these two factors play an important role
in the disappearance of the patients.
Sunlight results in the skin secreting vitamin D,
which plays an important role in controlling
the imbalance in the immune system,
which results in the return of skin cells
to their normal division, and thus
the disappearance of symptoms of the disease.
Dr. Hani Al-Nazer discloses, saying that for
about 25 years and until now, he himself
supervises this project, and the results of treatment
in Safaga, especially (in the village of Minaville)
are still the best compared to all other treatment
 methods.
