تزامناً مع بدء إحتفالات مصر والقوات المسلحة بيوم الشهيد والمحارب القديم ، نظمت جمعية المحاربين القدماء وضحايا الحرب مؤتمراً صحفياً للإحتفال بهذه المناسبة الوطنية ، حيث أعلن مدير جمعية المحاربين القدماء وضحايا الحرب خلال وقائع المؤتمر عن فعاليات الإحتفال بيوم الشهيد لهذا العام .
وأكد أن إحتفال القوات المسلحة بهذا اليوم الذى يوافق ذكرى إستشهاد الفريق أول / عبد المنعم رياض يجسد أسمى معانى العطاء والروح الوطنية المخلصة لأبناء مصر الأوفياء المدافعين عن أمنها وسلامتها عبر تاريخها الطويل وأضافوا إلى سجل الوطنية المصرية صفحات مجد و فخر للأجيال القادمة من أبناء مصر .
وأشار إلى حرص القوات المسلحة على تقديم كافة أوجه الرعاية الصحية والرياضية والإجتماعية والفنية لأبنائها من أسر الشهداء ومصابى العمليات الحربية عرفاناً لهم وتقديراً لما قدموه من تضحيات لإعلاء كلمة الوطن .
The Armed Forces Association of Veterans and War Victims Holds a Press Conference Commemorating the Martyr and Veteran Day
The Veterans Association organized a press conference considering the Martyr and Veteran Day, as the Armed Forces is celebrating the occasion.
The Veterans Association announced the activities of the Martyr and Veteran day for this year.
The Veterans Association Director affirmed that the Armed Forces honors the memory of this day, as it coincides with the memory of martyrdom of Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim Riad.
The matter that embodies the national spirit and patriotism of the staunch Egyptians who made, and shall forever make, sacrifices in order to defend our security and safety throughout our long history, those patriots who added weighty tomes of glory and pride to our national registries, and shall always be a source of pride for the future generations of Egypt.
The association director highlighted the Armed Forces keenness to provide all aspects of health, sports, social and technical care to its members – the martyrs families and operations wounded worriers – in recognition of their heroic acts and in appreciation of their sacrifices made to forever keep Egypt’s flag up and high.
